NURSE ADVISOR - CASE MANAGER

Seeking a qualified professional to conduct medical file review for premier producers who specialize in Workers Compensation. This individual will also evaluate and coordinate case management activities with carriers. In this capacity, a nurse will assess and evaluate the care provided to injured/disabled individuals and make recommendations that will result in expediting a safe return to work. As an intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical providers and employers, this position will review files to ensure that appropriate and cost effective healthcare services are available to promote an optimal level of work and functioning for an injured worker.

HOURS:

Position is PRN. Hourly rate is negotiable. Ideal job for the nurse who wants to work occasionally from home, work part-time or intermittently and wants to generate additional income. REQUIREMENTS:

Associate or bachelors degree in nursing required. CCM or COHN preferred, registered with state licensure. Workers’ compensation-related experience required or experience in rehabilitation services industry, vocational/occupational/industrial nursing. Excellent interpersonal skills and phone manners. Must possess good organizational skills. Ability to set priorities and work independently. Computer literacy is required.
