Claims and Case Management Manager

Business Insurers of the Carolina’s is seeking a licensed insurance adjuster or LPN, VPN or RN with Workers Compensation case management and/or claims management experience.  This position will play a leading role in the implementation of our Client Solution Initiative that brings quality, value and service to our clients in North Carolina.  Requires expertise in pre and post claim strategies, working knowledge of state statues, strong analytical, communication skills and a passion for Workers Comp.  Will interface with employers, medical providers and carriers at all levels. Seeking a qualified professional to conduct medical file review for premier producers who specialize in Workers Compensation. This individual will also evaluate and coordinate case management activities with carriers. In this capacity, a nurse will assess and evaluate the care provided to injured/disabled individuals and make recommendations that will result in expediting a safe return to work. As an intermediary between carriers, attorneys, medical providers and employers, this position will review files to ensure that appropriate and cost effective healthcare services are available to promote an optimal level of work and functioning for an injured worker.

HOURS:

Position is PRN. Hourly rate is negotiable with producer. Ideal job for the nurse who wants to work occasionally from home or wants to generate additional income. Opportunity to grow your own business! Endless potential for a self starter to enter a progressive business environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Associate or bachelors degree in nursing required. CCM or COHN preferred, registered with state licensure. Workers’ compensation-related experience preferred or experience in rehabilitation services industry, vocational/occupational/industrial nursing. Excellent interpersonal skills and phone manners. Must possess good organizational skills. Ability to set priorities and work independently. Computer literacy is required.
